Fire at Sea is a documentary directed by Gianfranco Rosi. It won the Golden Bear at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature, and also selected as the Italian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film. Though it received global critical acclaim, it found a substantial margin of difference between national (low) and international (high) success, in terms of gross.
