Corpus

a. Italian films produced between 1900 and 2005 which circulated in the 4 countries between 2007 and 2016 (so-called “longsellers”);
b. Italian films with a high margin of difference between national and international success, distributed in at least two of the sample countries;
c. Italian films that have been particularly successful in each of the sample countries;
d. Italian films presented (in or out of competition) at the major international film festivals, and/or have received at least one award;
e. Italian films awarded at the most important national and international film awards;
f. Italian films supported with Eurimages funding or the Creative Europe Media program;
g. Films produced by Italian companies that have primarily English-language dialogue;
h. Italian films that appear frequently in the programs of Italian cinema classes at international English language universities;
i. Italian films presented at events organized by Italian Cultural Institutes abroad.
